Today on Fox 13's The Place, I am sharing some tips on how to apply false lashes!

Lashes can be such a fun way to kick your look up a notch. The make your eyes pop and with enough practice they are quick, easy, and plainless. :)

Not all lashes work with all eye shapes. I recommend trying out a few different styles to see what works with your eyes best.

Lashes are last Apply all eyeshadow, liner, curl lashes and apply mascara

Measure and trim: Once you have decided on a lash that works best for you, place the lash on the lid to measure. Line up the inner corners, any amount of lash that exceeds the length of your lash line, should be trimmed off with small scissors.

Flex Lash Now that you have a good fit, bend and roll the lash strip to help it fit the contour of the eye. I like to wrap it around my makeup brush while I am doing another area of my makeup.

Pick a glue that works for you!!
apply glue to the lash, wait about 20-45 seconds( depending on the glue)  you will see a color change with the glue.

Apply:  line up outer corner to outer corner, trying to get the lash as close to the root of the lashes as possible . Stick on outer, middle, then inner.

Don’t give up! If it doesn’t work on the first try, that’s ok. The glue takes a several seconds to fully set, so you can still adjust them if needed. Practice practice practice.

Here are a few of my favorite lash products!

Glue: House of lashes. I like both the clear and the black. I recommend trying the clear first and then once you are comfortable with that, switc hto the black glue.

Thrive cosmetics. this is my favorite glue of all time. It holds like a dream! It's on the pricier end for lash glue, but it's worth it in my opinion.

lashes: Ardell wispies and Demi Wispies (DW). The Wispies are just a touch longer and more dramatic than the DW. These can be found at most drug stores, WalMart, Target, Sally Beauty Supply, etc.

DODO lashes. I love these lashes because they are a more luxurious feeling and looking lash without paying the big bucks. The band is a little thicker than the Wispies and the DW so make sure to follow the steps outlined above. You can also use my code "KLArtistry" at checkout for some extra off.

Tweezers: I like to apply lashes with tweezers but some like to apply with fingers or a lash applicator. Just practice and see what works best for you.
